A short story

About Me.

Who I am

Darin Foulkes

32 Years as a professional videographer & video editor.
17 years as an entrepreneur, creating visual content and producing videos.

I’m Darin Foulkes, and that’s the short-and-sweet version of my working life. I have spent the majority of my career behind the lens of a video camera.

The early years were spent chasing news stories for TV stations in Ontario, and then for CBC television in Charlottetown, PEI. From walking the fairways of the Canadian Open with Tiger Woods, to seeking out the best camera angles to capture a Royal Visit, I’ve had the privilege of capturing countless stories over the years.

In 2006, after 15 years in the TV-news business, I started up my own video production company and carried on with my passion for capturing stories. There have been dozens of entrepreneur stories for the Junior Achievement PEI Business Hall of Fame, stories of triumph over adversity for PEI Special Olympics, and stories of celebration at Island festivals from tip to tip. I’ve enjoyed it all immensely, and that’s why I’m so excited to take my story-capturing experience to now offer Legacy Interviews — helping Islanders preserve their family stories. Everyone has a story to tell. What’s yours?
